You know that feeling you get when on the verge of going down a loop on a roller coaster ride, that fuzzy feeling in your stomach when you feel scared? Although it may seem scary at first, it makes you feel good at the same time. That is how it feels like to be in a long distance relationship.
Life is usually compared to a roller coaster ride, with all its ups and downs and their effects on a person. Relationships may specifically be compared to this very same ride, too. But to make people see things from a different point of view, let us take the feeling of being in a roller coaster ride and compare it to the feeling of being in a distance relationship.
When you are in a long distance relationship, you are basically blind to the whereabouts of your significant other, unless they either tell you where they are or you become a stalker and track them down every single day (which is going to be weird, by the way). Basically, this relationship all boils down to being true to your loved one and trusting them to do the same with you. These things, though, are difficult to do but are so easy to say.
If you are one of those in relationships such as this one, then you for one would know how it feels like to doubt your partner when in all reality you don't want to do such. For instance, when they say they are at a party and they hang out with friends, it cannot be helped that there will be bouts of jealousy. This intensifies especially when you find out that they hang out with those of the opposite sex. This is just going to drive you insane. How do you control your nerves then?
One thing you have to do would be to find a distraction, but not a replacement. There's a big difference between a distraction and a replacement. When we say distraction, it is someone or something that could make us get our minds off missing the significant other or getting jealous with our significant others' group of friends. When we talk about a replacement, it refers to someone or something that we choose in place of the previous someone or something we had.
We believe that jealousy can be helped, and that we can always calm our nerves. However, someone once told me that it isn't that easy. At one point or another, you are going to get a little jealous which will then lead to your nerves acting on. Remember, just look for a distraction and keep your cool. Nothing good comes out of being a hothead.
Jealousy is a relationship killer, not only in [http://www.longdistancerelationshipsadvice.net/long-distance-love]long distance relationships but in relationships in general. Help make your relationship work with [http://www.longdistancerelationshipsadvice.net]long distance relationship advice.
